Create a review
We are temporarily pausing support for creation of review & approval records on the ArupCompute website.
We are redesigning the reviews & approval system and will be building an improved replacement feature. As we focus efforts on this, we will be deprecating the existing system. All previously submitted reviews & approvals have been archived and will be accessible in the replacement feature.
The documentation below is left for reference purposes and will be updated when the new review and approvals is released.
These are reviews in the 'technical review' sense, rather than 'out of 5 stars sense'. We believe the value of reviews lies in the written words, rather than a numeric rating.
The approach is to break the review up into small, actionable comments. After submission each of these comments may be discussed by the community.
At the end an overall comment is provided to summarise the review.
Finally a review status is required. This is analogous to how you might recommend a tool to a colleague when discussing it with them in the office:
- Recommended i.e. "there are no significant issues and I can recommend it whole heartedly"
- Recommended with conditions i.e. "it mostly works well, but there are some specific things you should watch out for"
- Not recommended i.e. "this tool should not be adopted for use on your project"
